ILoveZachBurden is an exploration of self love, queer eroticism, pleasure and sexuality. Over several years I have formed an alter ego, that is in love with themself, to an absurd and obsessive amount. This alter ego stems from my own personal need for validation and self-love, but taking it to an extreme level.

By photographing through a peephole, I have curated an intimate and romantic experience for the viewer, of my alter ego immersed in a space filled with repetitive self portraits and mirrors. The space accentuates the repetitive nature of selfies and my desire for love and validation. Drawing reference from sources such as, campy pornographic media, pin up drawings and photos, James Bidgood’s Pink Narcissus, and Marcel Duchamp’s Étant donnés.

Fall in love with me…

As much as I love myself
